Expectations of a Roof Inspection Survey
A roofer assessing a standard sized roof will take approximately two hours to complete their job. Any roofing company completing the work should provide a detailed assessment on each section of the roof. Information combined with a professional opinion should include the following elements:
Upon completing a detailed roof inspection, you will be provided with a report and supporting photographs. If our roof survey reveals any work that is required, we will also provide a detailed quotation along with the materials needed.
- Roof covering type, condition and defects
- Flashings general condition and ability prevent the threat of leaks
- Chimney condition, including brickwork, pointing, flaunching and pots
- Parapet walls, condition of brickwork, pointing and render and capping
- Guttering and drainage, potential damp issues and defects
- Skylights and Velux windows, probability of leaks and overall condition
- Internal structure, signs of stress and the state of the timbers in general
- Fascias, barge boards and soffits, their general state and potential problems
